On this page you will find practical information for your child starting school for the first time in September. Click here on how to apply for a place via Blackpool Admissions
We advise that to help you make your decision on which school your child attends and starts their learning journey you should try and visit as many schools as possible. Here are Hawes Side we will be holding a number of 'Open Events' to enable you to come and see what we do.
Should you choose to come to our academy and have a place offered by Blackpool Admissions, we will work to ensure the transition process is as smoot as it can be.

Once your child is offered a place with us we will have some Information Events, which families are welcome to book onto. These events are a great way of meeting staff, seeing the academy and asking those all important questions.
Information we need
Before your child starts we need for you to complete the academy's 'Starting School' form, click here to be directed to the online form. If you have any difficulties completing the form you will be able to contact the academy office and a paper copy will be provided.
We will also need to see your child's birth certificate. You can bring this to one of our Information Events or pop into the academy office or email admissions@hawes-side.co.uk
Stay and Play
Prior to your child starting school in September we will have some 'stay and play' sessions in the academy where your child can experience the classroom and meet his/her class teachers and future classmates.
