In our English lessons, the children are working on their fluency skills. This includes discussing and recognising how we can use expression to enhance our reading and the tone in which we read something. We have looked at our voice control, volume control and even the pace at which we read something.
In the last week of half term, Mrs Randles English class performed their self-written poetry to Mr Fleckney’s English class. It was their job to appraise what they had heard. Mrs Randles’ class worked incredibly hard to include similes, metaphors, figurative language and maintain the syllable patterns.
Here are some images and videos of the children at work.
