This week some of our Foundation Stage children have been working really hard with their phonics. They have been learning how to segment and blend. At the beginning of the week the children were struggling to segment and split up their words into sounds. By the end of the week, the children were able to correct segment and blend short words. 

 

Whilst reading her 'Shared Reader' book, Aniyah said, "I learned all about how we put sounds together to make words and we even spoke about the red tricky words in the book. I could read 'I' and 'the'.
